Haste to the Wedding

Haste to the Wedding is a widely played jig in Irish music and other traditions. Often played at ceili dances – with even a dance named after it. The tune is reputed to have originated in County Donegal. The tradition was to play it on wedding days to accompany the bride from her family home to the church.
I have played it once at a wedding – in the church!
